Madagascar, Marosely, Rural Electrification

PROJECT DISPLAY

The project aims at the realization of the electrification of the village of Marosely. It includes the installation of a self-contained, environmentally friendly mini-powerplant that will provide electricity to 450 households (2500 people) and 40 local businesses. The low-voltage distribution network will allow for a lasting improvement in the local conditions, particularly for access to basic services (lights, radio), health, education and local jobs.

TECHNICAL SOLUTION

  • A system based mainly on solar energy, with a diesel generator in addition.
  • Installed power: 99 kWp Photovoltaic and 80 to 100 kVA Gas oil
  • Transformation: 4 solar inverters Aros Sirio K25 and 1 Aros bidirectional inverter SPS A20
  • Storage: between 300 and 380 kWh useful
  • BT network: 18 km


DIRECT EXPECTED RESULTS

  • 450 households (2500 people) use the service daily.
  • A community service center is made available to the population for the development of local social life, with social and economic functionality
  • A sustainable infrastructure management system is set up via a regional operator,
  • 40 small local companies are created or accompanied in their development.
